About Karolina
A Swedish soprano
working across Europe.
A high soprano with a round, melancholic foundation to her sound and a magnetic stage presence. Mozart is central to her work, alongside German Romantic and French opera, bel canto, Baroque and contemporary repertoire.
Karolina grew up in Huseby, Småland. Her path took her to Copenhagen’s Royal Danish Academy of Music and then to Salzburg, where she completed her master’s degree with Barbara Bonney at the Mozarteum.
She joined the Opera Studio at Oper Frankfurt in 2021 and the soloist ensemble in 2023. She has appeared as a guest at the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik.
Her 2026/27 season in Frankfurt includes Fiordiligi, Gretel, Oberto and the title role in Mozart’s Zaide.
